Dude, Get On That Already!

I have been inspired by the wonderful Young House Love to nag myself into getting things done. You know that list that you always have in the back of your mind? Full of stuff you know you should get done but you don't really want or have time to do? (ok I'll be honest! I have time but I rather cuddle with my dog or boyfriend alright?!)

Well look no further! Sherry over on YHL has issued a challenge of sorts: Dude, Get On That Already! She is going to be crossing one thing off her list every week! So guess what? So am I. But I figured I should write my list down to give everyone (including myself) a visual and so I can cross the tasks off as I go. Yay! So here ya go:

Kesley's Dude, Get On That Already! List:

Wrap my iPod headphones with pretty string a la Pinterest inspiration Doneszo!

Clean out/sort/purge my closet and drawers of all unnecessary clothing so I can make a list of necessary staples to have in my wardrobe.

Buy a staple gun and wood glue to effectively finish my DIY bedside table/sitting pouf in my bedroom.

Finish painting my room (yes, I started it almost a year ago. no, I haven't finished)

Make Athena's new suitcase pet bed.

Organize my closet.

Organize my dresser.

Move dresser into closet.

Paint bed frame grey or black? (I've been pondering and I think if I get rid of the black pillowcases and replace them with grey pillowcases, a black bedframe with the grey and yellow pillows will look awesome!)

Get Athena spayed.

Create an organization routine/folder for mail and important papers.

Layer and bang (as in get bangs) my hair.

Doctor skin check up (I got this white, fair, freckly skin and a history of skin cancer peeps its about time I got on that)

Dentist check up (I also just got insurance which is why these doctory things are on here and I mean who really wants to go to the doctor in their spare time? Not me.)

Teach Athena to ring a bell to go potty (a soonish move to a different apartment means I need to nip the scratching of the door as her potty signal in the bud)

Try shellac nails.

Rearrange and refill my gallery wall in my bedroom (I have learned quite a bit from Pinterest and now see where I went wrong)

DIY/buy *cheap* decorative pillows for bed.

Buy regular pillows to fill the ridiculous amount of matchy pillow cases I have for my bed (and buy grey pillow cases too)

Start my bonsai tree kit.

Research and begin building plant beds for an apartment patio.

Buy a flat screen (I usually am not a big spender- I like to go out for date night with Ammon or buy a couple new clothing items with my money- BUT a new apartment means we'll need a TV and I figure why not buy one now while we can afford it?)

DIY new frame for bedroom mirror.

Find bedside tables and lamps that don't break the bank.

DIY a BIGGGG canvas print.

Make Jackson's HP 4th Bday party cake.

I will cross them off and update ya'll (ha, if there even is a ya'll, look at me flattering myself this morning) as I complete them and add to the list as I find (aka pin) more things I'd like to try!
