Shellac and Cinnamon Attack

So as I promised, over the weekend I crossed off another item on my Dude, Get On That Already! list. However, I did not do one of the items I really should have done. But Oooh Girl! I got my nails did! I tried out the shellac manicure (I've been wanting to try it forever) and I la la la love it! I've only had it since Saturday so if my opinion changes I'll let you know, but so far its awesome. I got a dark grey color, I think its called Slate, that I adore. The application is so smooth and shiny (NO chips!) and I've had a few compliments on my nails already! Here are some pics :) The way the light is reflecting off of my tips kinda makes it look chippy but I promise its just the light. No chips here!

On a side note here are two people/animals that just make me happy and keep me smiling :)

After I had brushed my teeth, brushed my hair, etc this morning I went back into my room to find my little sleeping beauty smush face all curled up under the covers lol I just love waking her up in the morning cuz she's sooo sleepy (her droopy droppy eyes only accentuate this even more) but once she wakes up she's so happy to see everyone. Then about ten minutes later she climbs back up on my bed and falls asleep again lol

And this guy right here :) He's pretty smoking hot if I do say so myself. Oh he just cracks me up all the time and is so supportive of everything I do. I couldn't ask for a better man in my life and I love him to pieces :) Yes, he makes me happy.

I also tried out a recipe for cinnamon pull apart bread (hence the title of the post) but I will share it with you tomorrow instead!

Love,

Kxoxo

PS- Please pardon the small size of my pics. All I've got to work with right now is my phone camera (I gotta get a new camera I feel like I'm missing out on documenting a bunch of cute memories with me and Ammon!)

Wrapping the Phones

So although I completed this project about a week ago I figured I'd add it to my Dude, Get On That Already! list and then cross it right off :) Does anyone else add things to your to do lists just so you can cross them right off? Just me? I suspected just as much.

I'd been seeing and pinning various pictures of wrapping or friendship knotting around your headphones for a couple months and I loved it! It makes your headphones super cute and less tangleable (yup thats a word). I finally got around to it and I really like them :) I don't say love because, well, can a girl really LOVE headphones? I can't. So really liking them means two thumbs up when referencing headphones.

Here's a pic of my finished product. I love yellow and saw a pic of a yellow/blue combo on Pinterest so I went with it :) You could use any color or kind of friendship bracelet string (I'm pretty sure its officially called emroidery floss), the kind I had on hand just happened to fade from dark blue/yellow to very light almost white blue/yellow and back again.

Here's a pic of the whole iPod/headphone combo. As you can see I ran out of yellow for my right ear bud (when I got to the split in the headphones I just took the blue string up the left one and the yellow string up the right one) so I've taped it in place for now but I'm going to go back and tie another yellow string to the short one and finish wrapping up to the right ear bud. I also need to super glue the knot at the base of the headphones (where they plug into the iPod) because right now its just taped to the back of my iPod. This really doesn't bug me and I'd forgotten about it until I actually looked at the back of my iPod so we'll see if that actually happens. I'm also wondering if the super glue will melt or mess up the headphone cord so I'm a little wary of actually doing it.

I'm still going to cross something off my Dude, Get On That Already! list this weekend I'm just not sure which one it'll be yet. I really want to do a fun one like find bedside tables or complete my yellow/black sitting pouf thing but what I really should do is my closet, clothes, or dresser organizing. We'll see which one I end up doing :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Love,

Kxoxo
